The engine controls are different and better on the 94. If the wiring harness is still good I would think about changing all to the 94.
You could just swap the trans and clutch pedals and it will work.

Jeep MPI Kit : Vapor Lock

    Author: Leee
Subject: Vapor Lock
Posted: May/13/2012 at 12:55pm

I am sure it is difficult to understand what happens with fuel today. The fuel west of Texas has a boiling point of 90 degrees. This means that any time it is in contact with METAL that is above 90 degrees the fuel will evaporate at a high rate. As pressure is increased so does the boiling point so if the fuel pressure is 50# then it boils at 250 degrees. So as long as your fuel system is OK and fuel pump check valve is OK you won,t have a problem. YOURS IS NOT!
When you are traveling down the road all the heat from the motor coach goes on and around the Jeep. This will make the fuel pump heat up with out even been run.

To solve your problem: Install an after market fuel tank (GEN RIGHT) that will except a intank fuel pump. Or I can fab you a intank pump for your present tank.

Look here for the history http://www.hesco.us/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1383&PN=3&title=fuel-pressure-regulator-failure#top

Since I replaced/rechecked the fuel lines/clamps and wrapped the fuel line as it passed by the converter and header, I haven't had any issues. Also, now the gauge will show line pressure for days where it used to bleed down in less than an hour.
